Only at Outside Lands do festival-goers plan their meals as excitedly as they plan their shows, and what else would one expect at the festival that changed the landscape forever? We’re proud to say Outside Lands was one of our very first clients, allowing us to work with this world renowned festival since 2009. Festival Producers, Superfly and Another Planet Entertainment, called on 44, then a fledgling company, to see if we thought there was any potential to tell a story about food at a music festival. At the time, no one was talking about food at festivals but we knew without a doubt that the story was there, and could not believe our luck in getting to tell it. Since then, we ignited a brilliant media trend of covering food at festivals, now seen across the globe. Year after year, Outside Lands pushes the boundaries with a festival menu that celebrates Northern California’s culinary culture and comprises 80 restaurants, 46 wineries, 31 breweries, and 6 cocktail bars. Each year, 44 has worked with Outside Lands to not only highlight must-eat / must-drink menu items, but also to unveil new food and drink experiences, bring media behind the scenes of the festival, and orchestrate social media meet-ups, press conferences, broadcast shoots, and press happy hours. In 2019 we reached an exciting new milestone, forging a symbiotic partnership with Bon Appetit magazine and bringing its Test Kitchen stars to the festival’s GastroMagic stage.
