SWEET CHEEKS Q

Marking Tiffani Faison’s first restaurant in Boston and one of 44’s first clients, Sweet Cheeks Q opened in 2011 and it didn’t take long before it dominated the local barbecue scene. We worked closely with Tiffani in the months leading up to the restaurant’s opening to build a campaign that celebrated the restaurant’s uniquely Southern and New England menu, honoring the traditions of barbecue down to its core. Our work resulted in local, regional and national media placements, helping Sweet Cheeks to win Boston magazine’s “Best Barbecue” for six consecutive years, garner a three-star review from The Boston Globe, and collect such accolades as “World’s Best Biscuits” by Forbes, “Best Biscuits in the U.S.” by Food & Wine and “50 Best Barbecue Joints in the Country” by Yahoo Travel. Drawing barbecue lovers from near and far and deepening Sweet Cheeks’ importance to the city, we also positioned the restaurant for its trailblazing role in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, where there has been a surge of restaurants, retail and residential properties since Sweet Cheeks’ arrival. Our work on the restaurant continues to this day, as we capture Tiffani’s star power in the culinary community and leadership among female chefs. Below, you find a snapshot of our press campaign.
