TIGER MAMA
Following the success of her barbecue restaurant, Sweet Cheeks, Tiffani Faison expanded on our work with her as she prepared to open her second restaurant in Boston, Tiger Mama, in 2015. Keeping diners on their toes, no one expected the talented chef to venture into Southeast Asian cooking, which made the opening story all the more fun for us to tell. Inspired by Tiffani’s extensive travels through Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, Tiger Mama’s bold menu, stunning design and two different bar programs allowed 44 to create an extraordinary amount of buzz. The restaurant led to Tiffani being awarded “Best Chef: General Excellence” in Boston Magazine’s annual “Best of Boston” issue in 2016, and she went on to garner two estimable James Beard nominations for Best Chef Northeast in 2018 and 2019. Forbes took note, calling Tiffani Boston’s “Hottest Chef to Watch,” and outlets ranging from Eater to Boston Magazine to The Boston Globe consistently name Tiger Mama among Boston’s top dining and cocktail destinations.
